Petrobras received on Thursday (10/12) the president of the Korea Trade Promotion and Investment (Kotra, its acronym in English), Cho Hwan Eik, and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Brazil, Choi Kyong Lin. The delegation attended a meeting with the Petrobras Managers Executives of Engineering and New Business, José Pedro Barusco and Rogério Mattos, aiming to stimulate cooperation between the Brazilian and Korean companies.
At the time, Petrobras managers presented the opportunity areas for companies from South Korea to establish partnerships in Brazil, such as shipbuilding and industrial base, and equipment for oil and gas exploration and production.
The Korean delegation pointed questions about the policy of national content and reaffirmed their interest in participating in joint ventures with Brazilian companies to fall into the production chain of oil and gas in Brazil. "It's a step toward cooperation between Brazilian and Korean companies, to develop the oil and gas industry in Brazil, that will bring great opportunities in various sectors, particularly with the development of pre-salt basins," said Barusco.
Also present at the meeting the Petrobras Manager of Development and Negotiation of Exploration and Production, Eduardo Abdounur, the Consul of the Republic of Korea, Kim Son Tac, and the General Director of the Commercial Division of the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Sao Paulo, Kim Gun Young.
