The president of Petrobras Biofuel, Miguel Rossetto said the expectation for next year is good. The strategy in all plants of the Company is the diversification of raw materials and local production arrangements with agricultural regionally markets and near the production units.
"We tested the use of mamona oil to produce specified biodiesel. We have two mixes: mix 70% of sunflower oil with mamona oil and approve, and mixed mamona oil with soy bean and improved physical and chemical characteristics of biodiesel produced. There is no doubt about the ability to produce biodiesel from mamon oil and we're doing it with quality, "he said.
The Director of Gas and Energy, Graça Foster, announced that the next 21 days the Company began testing the first generation of electric power in the world with ethanol in the thermal plant of Juiz de Fora (MG), in partnership with General Electric.
