The president of Petrobras, José Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo, participated on the morning of Tuesday (15/12), in Sao Paulo, launching a series of debates that aims to improve the management for the development of supply chain of goods and services for Petrobras.
At the time Gabrielli said is crucial to structure and mobilize not only the direct supply chain of Petrobras, but also other vendors who will be impacted indirectly by the findings of the pre-salt (subsalt). In addition, he noted that with the new regulatory framework, will apply the system of production sharing in that, unlike what happens in the concession system, the relationship is no longer only between dealer and supplier. "There will be a new agent active in this relationship, which is the Petro-Sal, who is in charge of managing the costs of production. The other actors have to deal with this new reality and adapt to it, "said Gabrielli.
The president of Petrobras also said that suppliers of goods and services should not only have a short-term business view, otherwise weaken the industry. "If the supplier has the vision to recover the investment in a short period, in a single contract, will be difficult to bring a strong national production chain. We must control costs for our policy of local content is maintained and contribute to the development of the country and also in other sectors".
In addition to the mobilization of suppliers, Gabrielli also noted the need for involvement of research centers and universities for the development and exchange of technology and knowledge between experts from around the country. "Petrobras has invested R$ 1.4 billion (823 million U.S. dollars) in the last four years in 80 universities and research centers in the country who are serving in 50 different thematic networks involving the oil and gas. Already structured 26 laboratories and we will invest another R$ 1.4 billion for the development of other kinds of research."
In the event, the president of Sebrae (Support Service for Small and Medium Enterprise), Paulo Okamoto, reinforced the need for small and medium enterprises are also involved in the changes that the pre-salt rise in Brazil, "so that. the oil & gas discovered in pre-salt (sub-salt) basin, generate a more democratic and participatory development, "he said.
This meeting is a partnership between Petrobras and the Ministry of Planning, National Quality Foundation (FNQ) and Competitive Brazil Movement and was attended by representatives of companies and associations and management experts.
