The House of Representatives postponed to February 2010 to vote on the bills of the pre-salt. Agreement to this effect was signed recently, during a meeting between the chairman of the House, Congressman Michel Temer (PMDB-SP), and the party leaders of the governing coalition and the opposition.
According to the government leader in the House, Mr Henrique Fontana (PT-RJ) in the first half of February Members should complete the vote on the bill that deals with exploration and production of pre-salt petroleum & gas in the system of sharing, distribution of royalties and vote on projects that deal with the capitalization of Petrobras and the creation of the Social Fund.
Fontana said that the agreement signed by the opposition agree not to block the votes of the pre-salt (subsalt) projects. However, the leader of the DEM, Mr Ronaldo Caiado (GO), said that if the vote on the project resource with the sharing of royalties from the pre-salt, the opposition will use all the tools to adopt a proposal that allows vote on the amendment by Mr Ibsen Pinheiro (PMDB-RS) and Humberto Souto (PPS-MG), which changes the rules of distribution of royalties.
According to the leader of the governing coalition, until February they will get an agreement for the amendment Ibsen/Souto not prosper.
